Latimer Art Club presents
“Home Means Nevada”
This Reno ARTOWN event will run from July 1st through July 30th, 2023, at the Wilbur D. May Museum, 1595 N. Sierra Street, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, Reno, NV. It is the perfect venue to showcase Nevada’s beauty as presented by today’s members of the Latimer Art Club. This 102-year-old organization was formed by students of artist Lorenzo Latimer in 1921. You will see an abundance of styles, mediums and finishes on the 2-dimensional art and sculptures for sale. Nevada’s official state song, “Home Means Nevada” by Bertha Raffetto, is the inspiration for this exhibit. “It’s a land of a thousand thrills” or “by the Truckee’s silvery rills” will serve as great subjects in styles from representational to abstract pieces. In all cases, the artist will show how they see Nevada as their home!
In addition to this ongoing exhibit, there will be a special hosted reception on Saturday, July 15th, from 12-4 PM.
Museum hours: Wednesday – Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM.
Sunday 12 – 4 PM. Monday and Tuesday: closed. The museum has additional fee exhibits besides this free art show and sale.
