Who We Support
Truckee Meadows Community College Art Department
Since the formation of the LAC our members have always encouraged a healthy interaction among our fellow artists, as well as promoting the growth and improvement of each person as individuals. And because of this, we believe it’s imperative we give back to our community. We do this by donating scholarships to the Truckee Meadows Community College Art Department.

Is my donation tax deductible
The short answer, no. We are a 501 (c) (7) and not a (3) therefore the IRS does not consider it tax-deductible. However, your donation is used to ensure the success and opportunities for many college art students. You’re investing in the future of our art community and your donation is greatly appreciated.
The Betsy Caughlin Donnelly Scholarship
Betsy Caughlin Donnelly was born on May 12, 1902, and was a Generous Soul and “True Nevadan”. Betsy was a third-generation Nevadan whose family influenced the shape and character of the local community over many years.
A scholarship fund was established by the late Betsy Caughlin Donnelly to specifically help shape the art future for local high school and college art major students. The scholarships are awarded each year to the Truckee Meadows Art Department and then distributed to enrolled art students. Help the LAC keep Betsy Caughlin Donnelly’s legacy thriving by donating here. Your continued support will help talented artists advance their education and success.
