Rebecca Hallstrom (b. 1951, Seattle, WA, USA), is a mixed media artist celebrated for her vibrant, contemporary paintings that capture the beauty and dynamic energy of the natural world. Her work seamlessly combines bold colors, playful patterns, and a hint of whimsy, whether depicting wildlife or abstracted landscapes. Through her distinctive style, Hallstrom invites viewers to experience nature in a fresh and imaginative way.

Hallstrom earned a BA in Design from Bassist College in Portland, Oregon. She worked as a Visual Merchandising Presentation Specialist for many years with department store chains and independent retail stores, designing windows and interior displays.

She has exhibited widely, showcasing her art at numerous prominent venues, including:

  • Five Deuces Galleria in St. Petersburg, Florida (awarded “Best Gallery in Tampa Bay”)
  • Professional Association of Visual Artists (PAVA) Cool Art Show, two years running
  • The Carrollwood Cultural Center, Tampa, FL
  • The Manatee Art Center, Bradenton, FL
  • The Dunedin Fine Art Center, Dunedin, FL
  • The Stirling Art Center, Dunedin, FL, where she earned several special awards

In addition to her exhibitions, Hallstrom served for over five years as the Art Exhibit Coordinator for the Rotary Centennial Nature Center Art Program at Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin, Florida. In this role, she curated exhibitions that highlighted local artists dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the region. This provided sales for the artist as well as provided significant support to the park budget.

Hallstrom’s expertise extends beyond art creation; she has contributed to the artistic community as a judge for Pastel Society of Tampa Bay’s Plein Air events and as a speaker at art talks at Five Deuces Galleria.

Before transitioning to a full-time art career, Hallstrom worked with several prominent nonprofit organizations, including the American Heart Association, the MS Society, and the American Lung Association. During this time, she honed her skills in event planning and donor relations—expertise that has proven invaluable in organizing art shows and community events.

Rebecca Hallstrom has recently relocated to the Reno, Nevada area, where she continues to pursue her artistic endeavors, sharing her passion for nature and creativity with a new community.
