An extra VERY SPECIAL Paint Out scheduled for Saturday June 18th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the home of Tim and Joan Elam 2775 Mayberry Drive Reno Nevada
For the past 22 years, Tim and Joan Elam have been creating one of Reno’s more renown properties, known as The Enchanted Garden, this historic site has significant history dating back to the late 1800’s as a roadhouse along the Verdi Road. Later to become Rick’s Resort where Jack Johnson trained for the fight of the century against, Jim Jeffries, ‘The Great White Hope’ in 1907. Later becoming The Willows one of Reno’s first gaming casinos in 1929. In 1999, the Elam’s purchased the property with the vision to establish a site that is reminiscent of those times gone by. Today, as the Enchanted Garden, the property reflects the feeling as a traditional English garden with a historical reflection of the past. Enjoy winding your way along the broken brick walkway repurposed from the Granada theater and memories of the Mapes. The planting style of Joan enhances the hardscape features of the creek and stone bridge as you discover the many curiosities throughout the site. So, get enchanted and enjoy!
