Elsa’s art story began at five years old. One day, she was bugging her older brother. He told
her to get her coloring book and crayons, then handed her some paper. She then drew her first
drawing…it was of Daisy Duck. From elementary to high school, she showcased her talent in
school banners and school posters. The only formal art training was in her senior year of high
school and a six-month course in graphic & production art at Platt College.
Life happened as it does to us all. She had her son in 1992, met her husband in 2011, and married in 2015. After 30
years, she finally picked up the brush again. Fast forward to today, she sold her first painting to a
former colleague in 2022, which happened to be Good Friday that day. She took it as a sign and
started to paint more. She sold a few paintings and added more pieces to her portfolio, eventually taking her first big step to showcase her art & self at the Makers Paradise Art
Collective in August of 2024. She’s looking forward to redeveloping her talent and learning from
the Latimer artists.
