Sparks Heritage Museum First Saturday Lecture Series Presents

“Sparks, Nevada and Beyond”

by Latimer Art Club.

We are pleased to host a special collaboration: “Sparks, Nevada and Beyond” with the Latimer Art Club and Sparks Heritage Museum Foundation. The Latimer Club was established with distinction in 1921. The continued passion of creating art of all mediums including oils, acrylic, collages, watercolor and more. These artist represent a lineage of prominent artists. This show will include an insightful conversation by Eileen Fuller about the Latimer Club’s extensive history. July 6th from 2:00 to 3:30, followed by a hosted reception by the artists participating. Free Event. All art benefits local artist and non-profit.

“God’s World” 

The poem “God’s World” was the inspiration for this exhibit. Artists are on duty during office hours in the church parlor, Tuesday and Thursday night concerts, Visual Arts Day, and other Saturdays when the historic churches sanctuary will be open for tours. All artwork is for sale. The church is celebrating 150 years with many special events.

Attention Latimer members!

 

There will be two entry dates for the Artown Show, 

“The Road Less Traveled”. 

Friday, June 30 from 11 to 1 and Saturday, July 1st from 11 to 1 

due to the Arlington Street Bridge being closed Saturday afternoon. 

All other information stays the same. 

Please call me or be prepared to volunteer to help us out on either of those days and also to help hang the show on Saturday. 

We need art sitters too.

The Sparks  Museum and Cultural Center has invited members of the Latimer Art Club to hold an exhibit in conjunction with their exhibit on the History of Water in the Truckee Meadows.

 

The Public is invited to view the exhibit January 10 – March 25th.

A reception will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017   4:00 – 7:00 pm
